Personal: I have been married to Nelson for 25 years and we have three boys: Alex, Nathan and Andrew. We currently reside in Clarkston, Michigan with our dog Mila.
Schooling: I graduated from Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Ohio in 1986. From there I went to Ohio University, then on to Kent State University, where I graduated in 1992. I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Technology at Michigan State University in 2009. Go Green! Professional: This year I will be teaching 5th grade at Springfield Plains Elementary. This will be my third year at SPE teaching with my amazing partner Amy Campbell. Three years ago I worked as the Educational Technology Specialist at North Sashabaw Elementary. I worked with our principal to make purchasing decisions and with the staff to conduct training and assist them in integrating the new technology into their teaching. Previous to that I taught a 2/3 split class. This will be my ninth year teaching in Michigan. I have taught 4th and 5th grade as well as doing long-term guest teaching in both Kindergarten and First Grade. |
